ABOUT Energy Bars RECIPE

Dried fruits are very essential and important for our body. Especially in winter time dry fruits are very important to boost up our body system. That's why this energy bar is so healthy for you and scrumptious as well.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Rolled Oats - 2 cups
  2. Desiccated coconut - 2 cups
  3. Roasted pumpkin seeds - 1/2 cup
  4. Kismis - 1/2 cup
  5. Chopped dried apricots - 1/2 cup
  6. Brown sugar - 1 and 1/4 cup
  7. Butter - 250 gram
  8. Self raising flour - 2 cup
  9. Golden syrup - 4-5 tbsp
  10. Baking soda - 1 tsp
  11. Boiling water - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 degree celcius.
  2. Grease and lined a baking tray with a baking paper.
  3. In a large bowl take the oats first.
  4. Then add coconut.
  5. Add pumpkin seeds, chopped apricots and Kismis.
  6. Add the sugar
  7. Add flour and nicely mix everything together.
  8. Chop the butter.
  9. On a low heat melt the butter with golden syrup.
  10. Mix the baking soda with boiling water in a bowl.
  11. Add that baking soda water into the melted butter.
  12. Pour this melted butter mixture into the dry ingredients and combine well.
  13. Pour the mixture into prepared tray and press firmly.
  14. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden on top.
  15. Allow to sit in room temperature for 30 minutes in the tray.
  16. Then remove from tray and place on a cooling rack for half an hour.
  17. Then break with your hand or cut with a knife.
  18. Store in an airtight container for upto 15 days.
