methi dumplings which is steamed and makes a perfect winter snacks with a cup of tea

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 Cup fresh Methi leaves
  2. 1 cup besan
  3. 2 tablespoons Suji
  4. 1 tbsp Ginger Chilli paste
  5. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  6. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  7. 1 teaspoon haldi
  8. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  9. 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  10. 1 teaspoon salt
  11. 2 tbsp fresh curd
  12. 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  13. for tempering
  14. 1 tbsp mustard oil
  15. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  16. 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  17. Pinch of asafoetida
  18. 5 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. for Muthiya mix all the ingredients and make a soft dough of it
  2. now make small dumplings from this dough and steam for about 10 minutes in medium flame
  3. for tempering put oil in a pan and then put mustard seeds,asafoetida, sesame seeds, curry leaves and saute for a minute
  4. put steamed Muthiyas in Tadka and saute for a minute
  5. serve hot or warm with a cup of tea and green chutney
