ABOUT Butter Cake with Candied Strawberries RECIPE

A very simple recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida -1 cup
  2. Milk powder -1 cup
  3. Sugar 1/2 cup
  4. Baking powder -1 tsp
  5. Baking soda -1/2 tsp
  6. Essence - 1/4 tsp (vanilla or any fruit flavours)
  7. Melted unsalted butter -3/4 cup
  8. Milk -1 cup
  9. Candied or fresh fruits of your choice 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Seive all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. To this add melted but not hot butter and mix it, add essence and mix.
  3. Add milk (it has to be at room temperature ).
  4. Mix well with hand whisk or beater but do not over beat, we just need to break lumps and incorporate all ingredients well.
  5. Add the fruits of your choice and mix well.
  6. Mean while preheat the oven at 180° you may also bake the cake in cooker.
  7. Pour the batter in a dusted tin and bake for 30 minutes or till done in preheated oven.
  8. For cooker--preheat the cooker on small burner but high flame for 10 mins put a stand below of atleast 1 inch height and bake the cake for 5 mins on high and 30-40 mins on low flame or till done. Remove the gasket and whistle of cooker while baking.
  9. Cool the cake for 10 mins in tin then unmould let it cool on a wire rack then serve as per your choice.
