ABOUT sukhadi RECIPE

sukhadi is traditional Gujarati sweet made of wheat flour, ghee & jaggery & it’s also known as Gurpapdi , gur means jaggery & papdi means slice (here) generally papdi is wafer made from dough. & sukhadi is mostly made in winters it’s very healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cups wheat flour
  2. 2 and half cup pure ghee
  3. 2 cups grated jaggery

Instructions

  1. In a kadai heat ghee .
  2. Add wheat flour gradually and keep it stirring continues on very low flame upto 10 minutes.
  3. colour of flour will little change and at that point after 10 minutes add jaggery .
  4. cook it upto 5 minutes more and jaggery gets mixed in it.you will see little ghee leaving sides and switch off flame.
  5. Take a plate grease with ghee add sukhadi on plate and level it with bowl .now give cut of desired shape when it is hot and then cool it 30 minutes. now you can take piece of it and serve it . Do not pick piece when hot else it will break.
  6. Delicious sukhadi is ready and you can store upto 20 days.
