It's a very popular authentic Bengali pitha recipe which is stuffed with mawa_coconut filling & serve with rabdi.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For rabdi, milk...1ltr
  2. Cardamom powder...1/2teaspn
  3. Date palm jaggery(Nolen gur)...1cup
  4. For pitha...All purposeFlour...1cup
  5. Semolina...1/4cup
  6. Rice flour...1/4cup
  7. Salt a pinch
  8. Coco powder...1tspn
  9. For stuffing,Grated coconut...1bowl
  10. Mawa...50gm
  11. Nolen gur...1cup
  12. Ghee...1tspn
  13. OIL FOR BRUSHING

Instructions

  1. Boil milk properly & make half in quantity.Add cardamom powder & nolen gur.Boil it for few more minutes.Rabdi is ready.
  2. For stuffing, heat 1tspn ghee in a pan, add grated coconut, cardamom powder & date palm jaggery. Cook it for few minutes.
  3. Then add milk & cook it till it turns sticky.
  4. Add mawa & mix it well.
  5. When the mixture will starts to leave the sides of the pan switch off the flame.
  6. For pitha batter, in a mixing bowl add flour, semolina ,rice flour, salt & enough water. Make a thin batter.Take 1cup of batter from this & add coco powder for design.
  7. Brush oil in a flat pan & make some dots.Cook it for 10 seconds.
  8. Then pour the white thin batter over dots & cook it for another 30 second.
  9. When it looks dry ,put coconut_mawa mixture in the centre of the pitha & wrap it.
  10. Cook both the sides for more 20 seconds.
  11. Take a plate, put patisapta on it & pour the rabdi over it.Enjoy chilled.
