Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1cup sesame seeds
  2. 1cup wheat flour
  3. 1cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup ghee
  5. 10-12 almonds
  6. 10-12 cashews
  7. 1/2 tspCardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat pan, add sesame seeds. stir constantly and cook on medium flame until sesame seeds slightly change in color and get puffy. Take out the seeds in a bowl. Add gher in the pan and place flour into it.Roast on medium flamr and keep stirring constantly until it releases good aroma,turn light brown in colour and ghee starts separating from it.Take out roasted flour in a separate bowl.
  2. Chop almonds and cashews
  3. Make sugar syrup
  4. Add sugur and 1/2cup water in a pan. Cook until sugar dissolves in water completely. Take 1-2drops of sugar dyrup in s bowl. Take the sugar dyrup between your thumb and index finger and stretch it a part. It should be sticky in texture there should be formation of single thread.
  5. Sugar syrup is ready. Reduce the flame and add roasted flour, sesame seeds, chopped dry fruits and cardamom powder into it. Mix all ingredients really well.
  6. Drop the mixture in a bowl, if it sets that means mixture is ready. Grease any plate or tray with some gher and pour the barfi mixture into it. Evenly spread the batter and sprinkle chopped dry fruits over the barfi. Press gently with spoon. Keep it aside to set.
  7. Cut the burfi into piaces as per your preference. Scrumptious and delectable barfi is ready. Oncr till barfi is cooled completely, store it in any air tight container.
