Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Potato half kg
  2. Green chilli 1 or 2
  3. Garlic 3 cloves
  4. Turmeric powder half tsp
  5. Urad dal 1 tsp
  6. Channa dal half tsp
  7. Mustard seeds 1tsp
  8. Curry leaves few
  9. Coriander leaves few
  10. Salt 1tsp
  11. Oil 2tsp and to fry
  12. ( For the better)
  13. Besan 4 tsp
  14. Water , soda pinch
  15. salt half tsp
  16. Red chilli powder 1/8 tsp


  1. Boil potatoes n mash it.
  2. Chop the green chillies and garlic into small pieces.
  3. Heat one tsp oil in a karahi . Add mustard seeds, dals n saute till they splutter.
  4. Add turmeric and salt . Mix the mashed potatoes along with chopped green chilli, garlic and curry leaves chilli
  5. Remove from fire , sprinkle chopped coriander leaves. Allow the mixture to cool.
  6. Make a thick batter of besan mixed with seasoning , soda and water.
  7. Divide the potato mixture into 6 or 7 and roll in the hand to round balls . Dip in the batter and deep fry . serve with pav n fried chilli n chutney or sauce.
