Marinated cottage cheese roasted in pan and added in spinach gravy

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 200 gram cottage cheese
  2. 2 spoon curd
  3. 200 gram chopped spinach
  4. 1 pinch baking soda
  5. 1 cup tomato puree
  6. 2 onions finely chopped
  7. 1 spoon ginger garlic paste
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. 1 spoon mixed herbs
  10. 2 spoon refined oil
  11. 2 spoon clarified butter
  12. 2 spoon amul butter
  13. 1 spoon coriander powder
  14. 1/4 spoon turmeric powder
  15. 1/2 spoon garam masala
  16. 1/2 spoon red chilli powder
  17. 1 pinch cumin seeds
  18. 1 cup cream

Instructions

  1. Boil spinach with baking soda
  2. Wash with water and grind into a smooth paste
  3. Cut cottage cheese in big pieces
  4. Marinate with curd,salt,mixed herbs and leave for 10 minutes
  5. Heat a pan and roast cottage cheese from both sides by applying oil on pan
  6. Heat clarified butter in a wok and add cumin seeds
  7. Add onion and ginger garlic paste
  8. Saute for 5 minutes and add tomato puree
  9. Cook for 2 minutes
  10. Add salt and other spices and roast for 1 minute
  11. Add cream and cook until it leaves oil
  12. Add spinach puree and cook until it thickens
  13. Add amul butter and switch off the flame
  14. Take out in a serving bowl and add roasted cottage cheese
  15. Serve with rice or indian flatbread.
