ABOUT Winter special Gajar ka halwa RECIPE

This is so delicious winter recipe with pure desi ghee and lots of dry fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Carrot-1 kg
  2. Desi ghee-1/2 -3/4 cup
  3. Milk -1/2 liter
  4. Chopped dry fruits( cashew nuts, raisins, almond ,pistachios)-1/2 cup
  5. Sugar-3/4 cup
  6. Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Grate the carrots with the help of a grater.
  2. Heat a pan and put ghee in it.
  3. Roast the cashew nuts and raisins and keep aside.
  4. In that ghee add the grated carrot and roast for atleast 15 minutes in low flame with covering a lid.
  5. Then add the milk in it and allow it to boil in medium flame.
  6. Then add sugar and mix it well and cook till all the milk disappear.
  7. When it becomes dry then add the cardamom powder,all the dry fruits and mix it well.
  8. Now your gajar halwa is ready to serve. Serve hot with garnishing some dry fruits.
