About Lasooni Palak Recipe

Lasooni Palak

Ingredients to make Lasooni Palak

  • palak 2 large bunches
  • garlic 3 tablespoons
  • ghee 2 tablespoons
  • cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • onion 3 medium finely grated
  • green chillies 4
  • coriander powder 1/2 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • gram flour 1 tablespoon
  • water 1 cup
  • Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  • For tempering :
  • ghee 1 tablespoon
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tablespoon
  • Whole red chillies 2
  • garlic cloves 10 crushed roughly

How to make Lasooni Palak

  1. Blanche the spinach and divide into 2 parts.
  2. Grind one part with little water to a smooth puree. Chop the other part of spinach .
  3. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, garlic and grated onion .
  4. Saute until onions turn colour .
  5. Add coriander powder, green chillies, gram flour, turmeric powder and chopped spinach.
  6. Cook on high for 30 to 40 seconds.
  7. Add the blanched spinach puree, water, , salt and mix well.
  8. Cook on high for 90 seconds. Add garam masala powder inbewteen . Remove from heat .
  9. Finally do a tempering with ghee, cumin seeds, red chillies, garlic . Cook till garlic turns light golden brown colour.
  10. Pour in the seaaoning to the cooked spinach .
  11. Lasooni palakis ready.
