Maxican cuisine is very similar to indian cuisine but serving style is different

Veg Tacos

Ingredients to make Veg Tacos

  • For kidney beans masala - oil one table spoon
  • Two onions finely chopped
  • Half tea spoon garlic finely chopped
  • Two tomatoes pyurie
  • One table spoon tomato sauce
  • salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder one tea spoon
  • Cummin seed powder one tea spoon
  • Kidney beans ( rajma ) two cups
  • For uncooked salsa - tomatoes two finely chopped
  • One green chili finely chopped
  • One table spoon green onion finely chopped
  • coriander finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • Sugar haf tea spoon
  • One half tea spoon chili flacks
  • One tea spoon oregano
  • For tacos - one cup all purpose flour ( maida )
  • One cup whole wheat flour ( aata )
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • Red cabbage , tomato sauce, coriander for garnishing

How to make Veg Tacos

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS, 1/2 TSP CHOPPED GARLIC, SAUTE UNTIL TRANSLUCENT
  2. ADD THE PUREE OF 2 TOMATOES
  3. ADD 1 TBSP TOMATO SAUCE
  4. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI & CUMIN SEED POWDERS
  5. ADD 2 CUPS BOILED KIDNEY BEANS / RAJMA, MASH LIGHTLY, COOK FOR 1 MINUTE, SET ASIDE
  6. TAKE 2 CHOPPED TOMATOES, ADD 1 TSP FINELY CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES, 1/4 CUP CHOPPED SPRING ONIONS
  7. ADD A HANDFUL OF CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER, SALT, 1/2 TSP EACH OF SUGAR & RED CHILLI FLAKES
  8. ADD 1 TSP OREGANO SEASONING, MIX WELL, SET ASIDE THE READY SALSA
  9. TAKE 1 CUP EACH OF ALL PURPOSE & WHOLE WHEAT FLOURS
  10. ADD SALT, SUFFICIENT WATER & KNEAD INTO A DOUGH
  11. GREASE THE READY DOUGH WITH1 TSP GHEE
  12. TAKE SMALL BALLS OF DOUGH, ROLL OUT ROTIS
  13. GRILL THE ROTIS FROM BOTH SIDES ON A HOT TAVA, TAKE OFF HEAT
  14. TO SERVE : MICROWAVE THE ROTIS ON A WIRE RACK FOR 2 MINS LIKE THIS
  15. TAKE THE ROTI TACOS, ADD 2 TBSP OF THE READY KIDNEY BEANS MIX
  16. ADD 1 TSP OF THE READY SALSA
  17. ADD 1 TSP TOMATO SAUCE, SERVE IMMEDIATELY
