Ingredients Serving: 20

  1. 20 bread slices
  2. 1/3 cup caster sugar
  3. 2 tbsp corn flour
  4. 300 ml cream
  5. 4 egg yolks
  6. 100 g chocolate chopped
  7. 1 tbsp icing sugar


  1. Trim edges of bread. Using rolling pin, flatten them
  2. Preheat oven to 170, grease tartlets or muffin mould
  3. In small saucepan, combine caster sugar and cornflour; stir in cream. Cook, stirring, until mixture thickens. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring, 1 minute. Remove pan from heat. Add chocolate and egg yolks; stir until smooth. Keep it aside
  4. Gently press the flattened bread into tartlets mild without breaking bread
  5. Pour the custard mixture equally into bread cups
  6. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. Dust with icing sugar. Serve
