Nothing can beat the taste of my mom's handmade kheer. I love it like anything.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Milk 2 litre
  2. Rice 150 gm
  3. Sugar 250 gm
  4. Ghee 2 tablespoon
  5. Almond 10
  6. Cashewnuts 10
  7. Pistachio 15
  8. Raisin 2 teaspoon
  9. Few Kesar juliennes
  10. Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. soak the rice in water in a bowl for 20 minutes.
  2. Now grind the rice with little water and make a coarse batter.
  3. Take an aluminium vessel and pour rice batter and milk in it and stir continuously until the milk become thick.
  4. now add sugar and cook for 10 minutes more on medium flame and then add green cardamom powder.
  5. sauté all the the dryfruits in ghee and keep aside.
  6. Now add finely chopped dryfruits in kheer.
  7. switch off the flame and take out the kheer in a bowl.
  8. Garnish with dry fruits and kesar juliennes.
