ABOUT Chicken, Spinach ,Peas, Beoccoli Mix daal Idli. ( Effortless comfort food, One Of A Kind ) RECIPE

Idli is my one of the favorite comfort food since I learned about benefits of blending Rice and daal together.. Today I have added broccoli, Spinach , Peas and Chicken to enhence Protein value.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 3 cups.
  2. Mixed daal 1 cup
  3. Broccoli florets coarsely ground 1 cup
  4. Spinach leaves pureed with minimum watetr 1/2 cup puree.
  5. Peas boiled 3/4 cup
  6. Chicken pieces pressure cooked 1/2 cup.
  7. Ginger grated 2 tsp
  8. Green chilli crushed 1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  11. Eno 2 sache.
  12. Oil for greasing 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and daal separately overnight.
  2. Grind them in the morning.keep for 4 to 6 hrs.
  3. Chop cooked chicken in small pieces.
  4. Heat 1 tsp oil. Add chicken pieces , add salt, chilli powder , garam masala and saute for 5 minutes.
  5. Now add salt, pepper, ginger, green chilli crushed to the batter.
  6. Add green peas, broccoli and pureed Spinach.
  7. Adjust the consistancy.
  8. Heat water in steamer, grease Idli moulds..
  9. Take out batter quantity in a small pan needed to prepare Idli in one stand.
  10. Add eno required. Mix and pour in moulds.
  11. Spread chicken pieces. Press little in the batter.
  12. Steam for 10 minutes.
  13. Serve with Sambhar / green chutney. / Tomato ketchup.
