Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Beaten rice /Poha / flattened rice 3 cup
  2. oil 3 tablespoon
  3. Mustard seeds 1/2 tablespoon
  4. cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  5. Green chilly finely chopped 3 to 4
  6. Curry leaves 4 to 6
  7. asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon
  8. peanut 1 tablespoon
  9. onion finely chopped 3 medium size
  10. salt as per taste
  11. sugar 1 teaspoon(optional)
  12. Corainder finely chopped 1 tbsp
  13. lemon Extracted juice of 1 lemon
  14. Sev 1 Tablespoon (optional)
  15. pomegranate 1 tsp(optional)


  1. Method: Take Poha in a strainer and wash it 2 times. Now drain away all the excess water from it and keep it aside for 5 minutes. Check out that there should not be excess water in it.....or elses our poha will become soggy and sticky.
  2. Take a pan.Heat oil in it .Add peanuts into it.Fry it untill it becomes little golden in color. Now add mustard seeds and let it crackle. Add cumin seeds. Add green chilly and curry leaves.
  3. Add asafoetida. Now add onion and saute it untill it becomes little reddish in color. Now add soaked poha in it.Add turmeric,salt ,lemon juice ,sugar to it . Mix it well and keep it on low flame for 2 minutes covering it with the lid. Off
  4. Now garnish it with corainder leaves and sev and serve it in a plate.
