Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chana dal 2 cups
  2. Basmati rice 2cups
  3. Curd 200 grms
  4. whole garammasala -
  5. Shah zeera 1 tsp
  6. Cumin 1 tsp
  7. few curry leaves
  8. Gg paste 2 tbsp
  9. Chilli pwdr 1 tsp
  10. turmeric pwdr 1 tsp
  11. Green chillies 3 to 5
  12. Lemon juice of 1
  13. garam masala pwdr 1 tsp
  14. Handful of chopped mint and coriander leaves
  15. Salt to taste
  16. oil
  17. Onions 2 sliced and fried till golden brown

Instructions

  1. boil the Dal with haldi till the Dal is just tender
  2. Take oil add the garam masala mentioned.Add the gg paste and fry
  3. at the curd and let the curd fry till the raw smell disappears
  4. at the boiled Dal in the curd
  5. cook dal in the curd till all the curd dries up
  6. Add the garam masala pwdr
  7. cook the rice Till they are done
  8. Fry the sliced onions to make birasta to be used for garnish.keep aside
  9. on the cooked Dal Layer the rice like we do for biryani
  10. let let the khubuli dum
  11. serve the khubuli along with some tamatar ki chutney
  12. Serve the kubuli with lots of mint and coriander leaves along with some fried onions(birasta)
  13. while serving add the left over birasta oil as well to enhance the flavours
