Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Unskinned urad dal
  2. Water as required
  3. Dhania powder
  4. Lal mirch powder
  5. Jeera powder
  6. Haldi powder
  7. Namak as required
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Hing a pinch

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal for an hour with lukewarm water.
  2. Grind soaked urad dal on a sil-batta (made up of stone in hilly regions). You can use a mixer grinder here too.
  3. Now mix all the dry ingredients to the paste of urad daal and make a batter.
  4. Take the batter with the tip of your finger and try to make a round flat ball with a hole in the centre. Dip directly in Kadhai of hot oil for frying.
  5. Deep fry till it turns golden.
  6. Serve hot immediately.
