ABOUT Sago sweet potato Appe RECIPE

Sabudana is liked by everyone. This is kind of sabudana vada but instead of deep frying, we fry it in the appe pan. Twist to the recipe is we are using sweet potato instead of potato.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup small sabudana
  2. 1 cup grated sweet potato
  3. 1/2 cup peanut crushed
  4. 2 green chillies, chopped
  5. 1 tbsp cumin
  6. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  7. 2 tbsp coriander, chopped
  8. 1 Tsp salt
  9. 2 tbsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Wash small sabudana and allow it to soak for 10 minutes. Small sago does not need water to swell. And it hardly takes 10 minutes to soak.
  2. After 10 minutes, mix all the ingredients well.
  3. Knead it like a dough.
  4. And make small appes out of it.
  5. Heat appe mould on low flame. Add little ghee.
  6. Place these sago appe and cover it with lid and steam it on low flame for 3 minutes
  7. Then after remove the lid. You will see appes get swelled like a ball flip it.
  8. Add more ghee to make it crisp from all the sides.
  9. Make sure you grill on a medium flame. So that you get a golden colour and appe gets crispy.
  10. Now these appe are ready to serve.
  11. Serve it with Curd or curd chutney or green chutney or dig in as it is.
