ABOUT Curd rice RECIPE

Curd rice is a South Indian dish. We Odias also prepare curd rice in the month of Margashir and offering it as one of the prasad offering to goddess Lakshmi. It is also a comfort food and can be prepared within a few minutes.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Cooked Rice -1 to 1.5 cup
  2. Curd -1 cup
  3. salt as per taste
  4. Sugar -1/2 tsp
  5. Ginger chilli paste-1/2 tsp
  6. Curry leaves-5-6
  7. Chopped coriander leaves-1 tsp
  8. Punch phutan-1/2 tsp
  9. Mustard oil-1 tsp
  10. Dry red chilli-2

Instructions

  1. Beat the curd well and mix the salt, sugar and ginger chilli paste in it.
  2. Then mix the cooked rice in it and chopped coriander leaves in it.
  3. Heat a ladle or pan and put oil in it and then add the punch photon , when they crackle then add the curry leaves and dry red chilli in it.
  4. Mix it with the curd rice mixture.
  5. Now the curd rice is ready to serve.
