About Paneer Bahar Recipe

This recipe i learnt from my uncle,serve it with roti or paratha.

Paneer Bahar

Ingredients to make Paneer Bahar

  • paneer cubes 200gm.
  • 1 mediums size chopped capsicum.
  • cumin 1 tbsp.
  • Rosted cumin powder 1 tbsp.
  • Milk 1 cup.
  • salt to taste.
  • Suger 2 tbsp.
  • Green chilli and ginger paste 2 tbsp.
  • ghee 1 tbsp.
  • Popy seeds 1 tbsp.
  • cashew 50gm.
  • Kismis 10-12.
  • Sunflower oil 2 tbsp.

How to make Paneer Bahar

  1. Add 2 cup water with 1 tbsp salt to a pan,bring the water to boli.
  2. Soak paneer cubes into luke warm water for about 30 mintutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add 1 tbsp whole cumin after 1 min add chopped cupsicum saute for 2-3 minutes until soft ,then add green chilli ,ginger paste and cook on a medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Make a paste of popy seeds with cashew.
  5. Now add paneer cubes with water ,1 cup milk,rosted cumin powder mix well, now add salt to taste and suger, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Bring the gravy boil then add kismis,popy seeds, cashew paste mix properly and cook it for 5 minutes.
  7. After 5 mintutes add 1 tbsp ghee mix properly and switch off the flame.
  8. Transfer to a serving plate or bowl,garnish with chopped cashew and kismis.
