ABOUT Pistachio Pancakes... RECIPE

An amazing desi touch to the popular breakfast loved by many across the World. Pistachio lends it a lovely flavour and taste splendid as well. A simple comfort food is all i can say about this. Dry fruit pancakes are an instant hit with my family and makes mealtimes a happy time in my home. I also added a few slivers to the batter too for that delicious crunch in every bite. Happy Breakfast Time!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Eggs 4
  3. Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  4. Baking powder 1 tsp
  5. Milk 1 1/2 cups
  6. Sugar 1/4 cup
  7. Butter 6-7 tbsp
  8. Pistachio slivers 1/4 cup+ 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Break the eggs into a wide mouthed bowl.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients to it including the pistachio slivers. However reserve the other 1/4 cup for sprinkling on each pancake.
  3. Mix well until lumpfree and semi thick.
  4. Heat a pan on a low to medium high heat.
  5. Throw in a blob of butter.
  6. Spread a spoonful of the batter onto it.
  7. Allow it to cook patiently. Sprinkle pistachio slivers generously on each pancake.
  8. Flip it over and let it cook on the other side as well.
  9. Serve hot with honey, fresh cream, fruit preserves, seasonal fruits or maple syrup.
  10. Enjoy this comfort food of all times whenever you feel like with this amazing desi touch to it.
