Handvo is Gujarati cuisine dishe.I made Mini Idli from the handvo batter.Must try.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. rice.... 1 cup
  2. tur dal ...5 tablespoon
  3. gram Dal ...5 tablespoon
  4. moong dal... 5 tablespoon
  5. Soaked Desi black chana... 5 tablespoon
  6. soaked moong ...5 tablespoon
  7. udad dal ...5 tablespoon
  8. curd.... 1 cup
  9. salt red chilli powder turmeric as your need
  10. asafoetida... half teaspoon
  11. seasame seed ...1 tbsp
  12. cumin* seed... half teaspoon
  13. Soda....half tspoon
  14. mustard seed.... half teaspoon
  15. Oil....1 tablespoon
  16. Mini Idli mould

Instructions

  1. Soak all the grain for 4 to 5 hours
  2. grind all the grain in the grinder ,added with salt, red chilli powder turmeric powder and asafoetida
  3. add curd and ones again Grind it again
  4. take out all the mixer in the bowl
  5. now add soda and mix it very properly
  6. keep this mixture aside for 10 to 15 minutes
  7. now in the Idli pan add one glass water and keep it for boiling
  8. now with the help of spoon drop the mixture in Idli mould
  9. put this mould stand in idli pot
  10. within 8 to 10 minutes the Idlis will be ready
  11. keep it aside at the room temperature
  12. with the help of spoon or knife take out all the idlis in the plate
  13. now switch on the flame and put tava or Kadai on it
  14. add 1 tablespoon oil
  15. when oil becomes hot add mustard seed and cumin seed
  16. when it get crackle add seasom seed and asafoetida
  17. with the help of spatula stir it properly
  18. now add all mini idlies
  19. and handvo idlies are ready
  20. serve it with green chutney
