Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. lemon sized tamarind
  2. ginger-1 inch
  3. garlic-4 cloves
  4. green chilli-1
  5. shallots-3
  6. kashmiri red chilli-3
  7. whole pepper-1tsp
  8. cumin seeds-1tsp
  9. tomato-1/2
  10. hing- a pinch
  11. coconut oil-2tsp
  12. curry leaves, mustard and red ball chilli
  13. salt
  14. water

Instructions

  1. soak lemon sized tamarind in hotwater and keep aside
  2. in mortar and pestel add ginger garlic green chilli and shallots crush well and keep aside
  3. next add pepper and cumin seeds and crush coarsely
  4. add dried red chillies and tomatoes and crush well with mortor and pestel
  5. in a kadai add oil splutter mustard seed cuminseeds curryleaves hing and dried redchilli
  6. then add the crushed items and give a good stir in high flame for 1 min
  7. now its time to pour tamarind juice water and salt
  8. turn off before it boils
  9. garnish with coriander
