ABOUT Swedish chocolate cake (Kladkakka) RECIPE

This wonderfully indulgent chocolate cake is perfect for the winters. Not only is it easy to make, but you can eat it still warm from the oven or cool or microwave up a slice if you wish to ! The ooey gooey insides will warm you up whatever the temperature outside !

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 135 grams or 10 tbsps unsalted butter
  2. 45 grams or 1/2 cups cocoa
  3. 300 grams or 1 1/2 cups sugar
  4. 125 grams or 1 cups all purpose flour
  5. 2 tsps vanilla
  6. 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 C or 350 F
  2. Grease a 7 inch round pan with butter and dust with flour/cocoa well. Line the bottom with parchment (optional)
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan.Get off the stove and stir in sugar and cocoa powder.
  4. Stir in the eggs and the vanilla.
  5. Mix in the flour.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes .
  7. Cool in pan . Run a knife or spatula along the inside edge of the pan to loosen cake. Invert onto cooling rack .
  8. Dust with icing sugar.
