Lauki Halwa

Ingredients to make Lauki Halwa

  • 4 cup grated bottle gourd (lauki)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • Chopped almonds a few
  • 1/2 cup milk powder

How to make Lauki Halwa

  1. Take ghee in a pan and heat it. Add in the bottle gourd and saute it.
  2. Add milk and stir it. Add milk powder and stir till the mixture becomes dry. Remove the ghee from yside of the pan.
  3. At this stage now we add sugar so halwa chang its colour to dark green.Add sugar and stir it continuous..till it remove the side of pan.
  4. Add cardamoms powder and some chopped almonds. Mix it well.
  5. Use a spoon and make laddus.

My Tip:

You can take Khoya instead of milk powder. Add some green food color.
