Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green peas 1 cup
  2. Cottage cheese/paneer 200 gram
  3. Tomatoes 3
  4. Onion 1
  5. Garlic 5-6 cloves
  6. Green chilli 1
  7. Ginger 1 inch
  8. Cashew nuts 8-10
  9. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  10. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  11. Coriander cumin powder 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  14. Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp
  15. Oil 1 tbsp
  16. Cloves 4
  17. Cinnamon 1 piece
  18. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  19. Asafetida 1 pinch
  20. Black cardamom 1
  21. Bay leaf 1

Instructions

  1. First boil the peas with a pinch of sugar in 2 cups water.
  2. Grind onion,garlic,ginger,chilli, tomatoes and soaked cashews into a paste.
  3. Take a tbsp of oil in a pan.
  4. Add cumin seeds,cloves,cinnamon,cardamom,bay leaf and asafetida.
  5. Saute for a minute and then add the tomatoes onion paste.
  6. Saute till it leaves oil.Add the spices and saute for a minute.
  7. Add the cut paneer pieces,boiled peas with half a cup of water.
  8. Close the lid and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  9. Lastly add garam masala and kasoori methi.Mix and garnish with coriander.Close the gas.
  10. Serve with paratha,naan or roti.
