Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup semolina (bombe rava)
  2. 2 1/2 cup water
  3. 1 tomato finely chopped
  4. 1 thinly sliced onion
  5. 1 tsp urad daal
  6. 1 tsp chana daal
  7. 2 green chilli finely chopped
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  10. 3/4 tsp mustard seeds
  11. 1/4 tsp sugar
  12. few curry leaves
  13. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  14. 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Firstly take the pan heat the 1 tbsp of oil and add rava roast in low flame till they turns golden brown colour or aromatic smell. Stir continuously.
  2. Next off the flame and keep aside. In the same pan add 2 tbsp oil once Oil is heat sufficiently. Now add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, Curry leaves and allow to splutter them.
  3. Then add urad daal and chana daal, sliced onion, saute for few minutes till they translucent. And changes the colour. Next add chopped tomato cook it for few minutes to they comes soft and mushy.
  4. After add green chilli saute well then add water ,salt, sugar mix well and close the lid.
  5. Now allow to Boil the water. After boiling adjust the flame to low. And add semolina little by little and stir continuously till lumps free.
  6. Now add chopped coriander leaves and Close the lid and simmer for a few seconds. Then off the flame.
  7. Finally semolina upama is ready to serve.
