Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  2. 1/2 cup white sugar
  3. 1/2 cup sugarcane syrup
  4. 1/4 cup water
  5. 3 1/2 cup wheat flour
  6. 1/2 tspn ginger powder
  7. 1/2 tspn nutmeg powder
  8. 4 egg whites for icing
  9. 1/2 tspn cream powder
  10. 4 1/2 cups sugar powder
  11. 1 tspn vanilla
  12. 2 to 3 drops of each red, green and brown gel food colour


  1. Preheat the oven at 200 degree for ten mins and line the cookie sheet with butter paper.
  2. Take a large bowl and add sugar, butter and syrup.
  3. Mix it and add water, ginger, nutmeg powder and allspice powder.
  4. Mix it very well.
  5. Now add wheat flour and mix it very well so that they are combined to each other.
  6. Now the dough is ready.
  7. Roll it with the roller pin on the floured surface and make it 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Now refrigerate this sheet for four to five hours.
  9. After that, cut the sheet into your desired shape.
  10. As i have cutted into round cookie and house wall.
  11. Bake the cookie for eighteen to twenty mins.
  12. Now let them cool down completely.
  13. Now for icing, take a bowl and add egg whites, cream powder vanilla and powdered sugar.
  14. Mix it very well.
  15. Now split this icing into four bowls.
  16. Add one or two drops of green colour into one bowl and mix it.
  17. Add one or two drops of brown colour in another bowl and mix it.
  18. And add one drop of red colour in third bowl and mix it.
  19. You can keep the quantity of icing as per choice of your decoration.
  20. Now pour each color of icing in piping bags.
  21. Decorate it as you want.
  22. As i have decorated house cookie.
  23. After decoration, let the icing to dry for two hours.
  24. Now our ginger wheat bread cookies are ready to eat.
  25. Kids like colorful cookies, so i did like this.
  26. These cookies are healthy as i have used wheat flour instead of using refined flour.
