ABOUT Kung Pao Tofu & Broccoli RECIPE

My kids love stir fry and it’s a very healthy option for kids with loads of vegetables and protein from tofu

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups broccoli florets
  2. 2 cups chopped carrots
  3. 1 cup chopped bell pepper
  4. 1 pack firm tofu
  5. Half cup oil
  6. 1 cup peanuts
  7. Sczhuan sauce 2 spoons
  8. Soy sauce 2 spoons
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1 spoon sugar
  11. 4-5 cloves chopped garlic
  12. 1 large red onion

Instructions

  1. Take a pan heat oil and add tofu cubes
  2. Let this cook for 5 minutes on either side till the tofu is golden brown and crispy
  3. Take a pan add oil and add chopped garlic, onion, bell pepper and carrots
  4. Sauté for 5 mins until cooked well
  5. Now add the broccoli with 3-4 spoons water and sauté well
  6. To make Kung Pao Sauce add sczhuan sauce, soy sauce and sugar and mix well
  7. Add the Kung Pao sauce to the vegetables
  8. Add peanuts and tofu and sauté till done
  9. Serve with rice
