Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati rice 1cup.
  2. Soya chunks 1cup.
  3. Ghee 2table spoon.
  4. Sliced onion 1/2cup.
  5. Ginger-garlic paste 1table spoon.
  6. Curd 1/2cup.
  7. Turmeric powder 1tea spoon.
  8. Red chilli powder 1tea spoon.
  9. Coriander powder1table spoon.
  10. Garam masala powder 1tea spoon.
  11. Salt to taste.
  12. Green chillies 2nos.
  13. Cinnamon stick 1"piece.
  14. Cumin seeds 1tea spoon.
  15. Green cardemom 2nos.
  16. Black cardemom 1no.
  17. Cloves 4no.
  18. Bay leaf 1no.
  19. One boiled egg for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Soak soya chunks in warm water for 5 minutes,sqeeze.
  2. Take curd in a bowl.Add all powdered spices and mix well.Marinate soya chunks in it for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan ,fry sliced onion till golden.Take out and spread on a kitchen towel.
  5. Add all whole spices and bay leaf to the remaining ghee,add soya chunks and stir well.cook on low flame for 2minutes.
  6. Add basmati rice,stir and add 2cups hot water.Adjust salt according to taste. Cover and cook on medium flame for 2minutes.After then reduce the heat to low and further cook on 4-5 minutes or till rice is cooked well.
  7. Add green chillies,mix and cover the lid .Leave for 5minutes on dum.
  8. Garnish with fried onion and boiled egg .serve with smile.:blush:
