ABOUT Grilled chicken cheese sandwich RECIPE

Kids love sandwiches! Sandwiches made with brown bread are easy to make, nutritious and delicious. This particular recipe doesn't require too many hard to find ingredients and is perfect for any season and any time of the day.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For chicken filling-
  2. Boneless chicken 300 grams
  3. Butter 2 tablespoons
  4. Chopped Onion 1/2 cup
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  6. salt as per taste
  7. Dried Oregano 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  9. For sauce-
  10. Tomato sauce 3 tablespoons
  11. Barbeque sauce 2 tablespoons
  12. For sandwich-
  13. Brown Bread 8 slices
  14. Soft butter 3 tablespoons
  15. 1 large onion thinly sliced
  16. 1 tomato thinly sliced
  17. Mozzarella cheese 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. In a pan add butter and heat it on medium flame.
  2. Add chopped onions and fry it for 3 minutes.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and fry it until the aroma comes out.
  4. Add the chicken and saute until it's tender and fully cooked.
  5. Now add the salt, freshly ground black pepper and dried oregano. Saute for 3-4 minutes and turn off the flame.
  6. In a bowl take tomato sauce and barbeque sauce and mix it well.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons of this sauce to the cooked chicken and give a thorough mix.
  8. Take the brown bread slices and apply soft butter on one side of those.
  9. Apply the remaining sauce to the other sides of the bread.
  10. Fill the sauced side of four bread slices with chicken stuffing, mozzarella cheese, sliced onion and sliced tomato.
  11. Place the sauced side of the other four bread slices down on the filling and gently press to make the sandwich.
  12. Lightly preheat the griller, place the sandwiches inside and close it properly.
  13. Grill the sandwiches on medium heat. Keep turning the griller until both the sides are properly toasted and have beautiful dark brown grill marks.
  14. Prepare all the sandwiches like this.
  15. Cut the sandwiches and serve hot.
