ABOUT Stuffed idli pakoda RECIPE

Stuffed idli pakoda is a mix version of idli potato vada. The stuffing of potato vada to be filled in the idli and coated with gram flour batter. This combination gives different taste to idli altogether.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3 idli
  2. Boiled potato 2
  3. Mustered seeds 1 /2 tsp
  4. jeera 1/2 tsp
  5. Green chilli 2
  6. ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  7. turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  8. salt
  9. coriander leaves
  10. curry leaves
  11. Batter :
  12. Gram flour 1 cup
  13. Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  14. salt
  15. Hot oil 1 tsp
  16. water
  17. oil : fry


  1. Take a pan, add oil, mustered seeds, Jeera, curry leaves, green chilli, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, saute well.
  2. Then add smashed potatoes, salt, coriander leaves and mix well. Turn off gas. Stuffing is ready.
  3. For batter : take a bowl, add gram flour, red chilli powder, hing, salt and hot oil.
  4. Now add water little by little and prepare a thick batter of it.
  5. Make small flat Pattice for stuffing.
  6. Middle cut the idlis and stuff the idili.
  7. Dip stuffed idli in gram flour batter.
  8. Deep frying. Fry until it turns golden brown both sides.
  9. Serve with green chutney or tomato sauce
