ABOUT Fig and Mortadella Sandwich RECIPE

Make a cosy indulgent with this melting cheese and sauted fig with the peppery hint of mortadella and butter toasted sandwich - the perfect winter pick-me-up. This is warm sandwich and a great tiffin box

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 slices 100% whole wheat bread
  2. 4 teaspoons reduced-fat creamy butter
  3. 2 figs, sliced
  4. 6 pcs Beef mortadella
  5. 4 tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
  6. 4 tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
  7. 4 tbsp mozzarella cheese, cut in mini bits
  8. to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a pan, saute the mortadella slices.
  2. In the same pan, saute the fig slices and turn them gently.
  3. Apply butter on the bread slices
  4. Spread Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese
  5. Place the fried mortadella slices on the bread and top it with fig slices. Season with some salt and pepper. Now place another slice of buttered bread on the bread with all the toppings.
  6. Heat a pan with enough butter and toast the Sandwich on both the sides, until the cheese starts melting and oozing and the bread crust turns brown and crispy.
