ABOUT Gyoza RECIPE

These Japanese pan-fried dumplings are simple to make and delicious and great to snack on

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup Cabbage
  2. 220g Ground Pork
  3. 1/3 cup Water
  4. 4 Onions
  5. 3 tbs Rice Vinegar
  6. 3 tbs Soy sauce
  7. 2 tbs Cornstarch
  8. 2 tbs Soy sauce
  9. 2 tbs Oil
  10. 1 1/2 tbs Sake
  11. 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  12. 2 Garlics cloves
  13. 30 Gyoza wrappers

Instructions

  1. Cook cabbage in boiling water for 2 mins.Drain and chopped
  2. Add cabbage, pork, onion, soy sauce , sake, sesame oil, garlic clove and cornstarch in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture on a sheet of gyoza warpper.
  4. Moisten the edge and lower half of the wrapper and fold the upper half of the wrapper in a series of pleats.Press the edges together.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.Place gyoza and cook until golden brown
  6. Add water and cover with a lid and cook till water boils away
  7. Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar and chilli together to make dipping sauce
  8. Serve gyoza with dipping sauce.
