About Kharbooze Ka Meetha.. Recipe

A long lost recipe of my grandmother that is still kept alive by me and every year, when the Season gives us these lovely looking fruit, I whip up this Meetha for my family. I don't have any idea whether anyone else from my City makes it this way, but I definitely do and follow my grandmother's style of making this Meetha. Try this out and know for yourselves how yummy it tastes and how equally gorgeous it looks. Sprinkle some chopped cashews on top just before serving for that spectacular look. Kharbooze Ka Meetha..

Ingredients to make Kharbooze Ka Meetha..

  • Musk Melon chopped 3
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • ghee 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1/8 tsp
  • cashewnuts chopped 1/4 cup

How to make Kharbooze Ka Meetha..

  1. Chop the musk Melon into small pieces.
  2. Make sure that it is a ripe one so that it's sweeter.
  3. Heat ghee and add chopped Musk Melon pieces to it.
  4. Add in full fat milk to it along with nutmeg or cardamom powder.
  5. Cook on medium high heat for 3-4 minutes until it gets mushy.
  6. Add sugar and mix well.
  7. Sugar can be adjusted according to one's taste.
  8. Take it off the heat and keep it covered in the refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours.
  9. Serve it super duper chilled to your loved ones.
