Lemon Pickle

Ingredients to make Lemon Pickle

  • lemon 1 kg
  • cloves 1 tsp
  • cinnamon 2 1" sticks
  • Black pepper 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1
  • Carom seeds 2 tbsp
  • hing 1/2 tsp
  • Degi mirch 2 tbsp
  • Black salt 3 tbsp or to taste
  • sugar 1 1/2 cups
  • mustard oil 1/2 cup

How to make Lemon Pickle

  1. Wash and soak lemons for two days, change water thrice. Then clean and dry them.
  2. Now cut lemons in four. Take a jar and put lemons in it, add sugar and black salt. Mix well and keep in sun for thirteen days.
  3. Grind to powder cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, pepper, 1/2 tsp carom seeds, hing and degi mirch together.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add powdered masala then lemon syrup in which lemons are. Heat for five to six minutes
  5. Add lemons, stir for 10 minutes, remove from heat and cool.
  6. Pickle is ready, store in an airtight jar.

My Tip:

You can use olive oil.
