ABOUT Chicken Donuts RECIPE

Chicken is loved by all big or small. These chicken donuts will be a favourite among the kids as they will devour it till the last bite. Easy and simple to make, this recipe can also be made and stored in the freezer for a quick snack or tiffin. Made with mainly chicken and potatoes as the main ingredients, these will provide the necessary protein and carbs for your growing child.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250g boneless chicken
  2. 1 medium potato
  3. 1 green chili
  4. 1 small onion, finely chopped
  5. 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  6. 1 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
  7. 1 tsp cumin powder
  8. 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  9. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 2 tbsp gram flour
  12. 1 cup water
  13. 2 tbsp cheese/ mayonnaise
  14. 1 tbsp chopped olives
  15. Zaater/ oregano ( for garnish)
  16. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook chicken with salt and 1 tbsp red chili powder in water until cooked. Mince in a mixer with chopped green chili.
  2. Cook potato in a pressure cooker. Mash the potato with a masher.
  3. Mix potato, chicken mince, onion, garlic, cumin powder, red chili powder, dry mango powder, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well
  4. Scoop out a medium sized ball of the mixture and flatten it in your palms. Make a hole in the center resembling a donut.
  5. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  6. Spread a layer of cheese or mayonnaise on the donut and sprinkle zaater spice, oregano or garnish with chopped olives.
