Ingredients to make Black Forest Cup Cake

  • all purpose flour -1 Cup
  • Granuled sugar -3/4 cup
  • Cocoa powder -1/4 cup
  • Cherry pie filling-1tin
  • Milk-1/2cup (room temperature )
  • Melted butter or Vegetable oil-1/2 cup
  • Eggs-2 (if you want to avoid egg,use 3/4cup beaten yoghurt
  • baking soda -1 / 4 teaspoon
  • Baking powder -1.5 teaspoon
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped Pitted cherries-1 1/2 cup (canned or frozen or fresh one )
  • Whipped cream-1.5 cup(chilled )
  • Confectioners sugar-2 tablespoons
  • Grated chocolate -1/2cup

How to make Black Forest Cup Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F or 180 degree C
  2. Line 10 muffins cups with paper liners
  3. In a bowl add all purpose flour,baking powder, baking powder and cocoa powder,mix properly
  4. Take another bowl,add sugar ,vegetable oil or melted butter, eggs or beaten yoghurt and milk,mix them until the dry and wet ingredients are well combined.
  5. Pour the batter to 1/2 portion of cupcake moulds then put 1 tablespoon the cherry pie fillings then pour the batter to full the 3/4th of the cup cake mould
  6. Bake the cupcakes for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Transfer to wire rack and let cool completely
  8. Meanwhile beat the chilled whipped cream and confectioners sugar in a chilled bowl with an electrical mixer or manual whisker until stiff peak form.
  9. Spread the frosting on the cooled cake ,sprinkle chopped chocolate and decorate with a cherry on top.

My Tip:

Keep the whipped cream in fridge for almost 7 to 8 hours or preferebly whole night.
