Veggies should be added to the idly batter to make it healthy for kids

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Suji...1 cup
  2. Curd...as required
  3. Eno...1 sachet
  4. salt to taste
  5. Chopped veggies to taste.....1/2 cup
  6. oil to grease idly mould

Instructions

  1. Soak suji, curd and salt
  2. Keep.covered, aside for 20 minutes
  3. Mix veggies and grease the idly mould
  4. Put 1 glass of water in cooker, let it boil
  5. Now mix eno in the battery and sprinkle few drops of water in it
  6. Pour 1 ladke ful of batter in idly moulds and put it in boiling water
  7. Let it steam for 10 to 12 minutes on until done, do knife test, if knife comes clear then it is ready
  8. Serve hot hot with any chutney and sambhar
