China grass is excellent on the stomach. Light and delicious these make for an easy and lovely dessert. This pudding is easilyloved by kids due to the variety of colors. You can add any colors of your choice. This is one of the best way to make a fussy child have his portion of milk. As milk and China grass is the main ingredient in this, it is rich in protein and calcium. Have fun with this easy to prepare China grass dessert.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 packet China grass
  2. 1 1/2 glass water
  3. 3 glasses milk
  4. 1 cup sugar
  5. 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  6. 2-3 drops vanilla essence
  7. 2-3 drops rose essence
  8. 2-3 drops pistachio essence

Instructions

  1. Soak China grass in 3 separate bowls with half a glass of water each. Soak for about half an hour.
  2. After half an hour, transfer the contents of first bowl in a vessel and heat it till the China grass melts. Add 1 glass of milk and 1/3rd cup sugar and 2 tbsp of sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Continue to boil till the sugar is completely dissolved. Add vanilla essence and switch off the flame.
  4. Strain and allow to set in a dish.
  5. Continue for the second and third layer adding rose and pistachio essence for each. Allow to set on top of the white layer.
  6. Wait for about 1/2 an hour till the previous layer has set before pouring the next layer.
  7. Garnish with chopped almonds and allow to cool in refrigerator. Serve chilled.
