ABOUT Soya Strawberry Yogurt RECIPE

This preservative- and additive-free homemade soy milk works great for drinking, culturing, or making tofu. Use only white soy beans for making soy milk. The leftover fiber is called okara, or u no hara, and can be dried or frozen for use in cooking, or as fertilizer. Soy yogurt made at home has a slightly grassy flavor compared to soy yogurt bought commercially. I have flavoured with Hershey's strawberry syrup..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. ½ cup white soybeans
  2. 2-3 cups water for soaking
  3. 4 cups water for blending
  4. 3 tsp Strawberry syrup
  5. 1 tsp yogurt for setting
  6. Few strawberries for dressing


  1. Soak soybeans in 2-3 cups water overnight
  2. Discard water and rinse overnight
  3. Remove skins as best as you can.
  4. Add soyabean and water to blender
  5. Blend until smooth
  6. Strain the blended mixture using muslin cloth
  7. Heat the milk in thick pan stirring continuously till you get a boil.
  8. Cool the milk and milk is ready to serve with sugar or any syrup added to it.Here I have added strawberry syrup.
  9. For making yoghurt,add 1 tsp plain yoghurt to strawberry milk .
  10. Cover and allow the milk to set to yoghurt for 6-7 hrs in warm place
  11. Arrange strawberries on the top and serve fresh soya strawberry yoghurt..
