Kids are very crazy for fried things and looking lovely dishes . Today i made a recipe which is looking kids favourie TOFFEES .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For outer layer :-
  2. Maida 1+1/2 cups
  3. Carom seeds 1/2 tspn
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Ghee 2 tbspn for moyan
  6. For stuffing :-
  7. Poha - 1 cup
  8. Boiled potato - 1 mashed
  9. Grated paneer - 1/4 cup
  10. Capsicum - 1 chopped
  11. Carrot - 1 grated
  12. Onion - 1 chopped
  13. Green chilly - 1 chopped
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Black pepper powder - 1/4 tspn
  16. Red chilly powder - 1/4 tspn
  17. Mango powder - 1/2 tspn
  18. Coriander powder - 1 tspn
  19. Garam Masala - 1/2 tspn
  20. Roasted cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
  21. Chat Masala - 1/2 tspn
  22. Fresh coriander leaves
  23. Oil - 2 tspn for tadka
  24. Oil for fry
  25. Seasame seeds

Instructions

  1. For outer layer :-
  2. Mix all outer layer ingredients and make a smooth dough with water and keep aside for some time.
  3. For stuffing :-
  4. Wash poha into running water and strain .
  5. Combine all stuffing ingredients into a bowl with strained poha.
  6. Heat 2 tspn oil into a pan add combined stuffing mixture and saute for 2-3 minutes .
  7. Assembling toffees--
  8. Make small balls with dough and roll them like poori in small size.
  9. Prick on poori with fork then put a spoon of stuffing mixture in center of poori and fold from both sides and make a toffee shape with hand by pressing rest sides .
  10. Now sprinkle some sesame seeds on it and lightly press . Make all toffee like this.
  11. Fry these toffees into hot oil on medium flame. Till they become golden brown.
  12. Poha Toffees r ready . Enjoy with any sauce .
