Pepper Sev is very tasty and aromatic snack. It is very easy to prepare and can pack it as snacks for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Besan flour/ Bengal gram flour - 1 cup
  2. Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Crushed black pepper - 2 tsp
  4. cumin seeds - 2 tsp
  5. turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
  6. butter - 2tsp
  7. salt as per taste
  8. hing - 1 pinch
  9. oil - To deep fry


  1. Sieve besan and rice flour in a bowl.
  2. Add all ingredients one after other and mix it well.
  3. Atlast add butter and mix it to dough consistency.
  4. Heat oil on low flames to deep fry Sev.
  5. Divide dough into two halves. Take a gun model presser or any other murukku presser and add dough in it.
  6. Press gun or murukku press in circular motion and fry Sev on medium to low flames.
  7. Fry Sev on both sides and take it into bowl. Repeat the process for remaining dough.
  8. Tasty and yummy pepper Sev is ready to serve. Let the Sev cool and then store it into air tight container.
