ABOUT Choco filled rasgulla custard RECIPE

This is so yummilicious recipe loved by kids. Because the rasgullas are filled with chocolates and dipped in chilled custard. The idea of this dessert was given by my 6 year old son. On the occassion of Children's day when I asked him what special dish do you want today? Suddenly he replied me that ," Momma if possible then prepare rasgullas which are filled with chocolates and serve it for me with chilled custard. At that time I was suddenly surprised with his answer. Because he never heard about that recipe nor taste it before. Then I prepared this for him. It was really heavenly delicious in taste. As kids loved chocolates , custard and rasgullas so this recipe definitely loved by kids. And you can also prepare this as a dessert in kid's birthday party.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For choco rasgulla:
  2. 1 liter milk
  3. 2 tsp vinegar
  4. 1 grated dairy milk chocolate/ any type of chocolate/ Choco chips
  5. 2 tsp semolina
  6. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  7. 1.5 cup sugar
  8. 1.5 cup water
  9. For making custard:
  10. 1/2 liter milk
  11. 5-6 tsp sugar
  12. 2 tsp custard powder
  13. Some chopped cashew nuts for garnishing

Instructions

  1. First of all prepare the custard by adding custard powder and sugar in warm milk and stir it continuously till it becomes little thick.
  2. Then switch off the flame and after cooling down keep it in the refrigerator for chilling completely.
  3. Then boil the milk for rasgulla. After boiling switch off the flame and then mix the vinegar into to curdle the milk.
  4. Then strain the milk from the whey.
  5. Allow it to hang for 30 minutes.
  6. Mash the chhena with your hand for 10 minutes.
  7. Then add the semolina and half of the cardamom powder and again mash it for 10 minutes.
  8. Grate the chocolate with the help of a grater.
  9. Make equal portions of the mashed chhena.
  10. Fill the grated chocolates in the chhena.
  11. Then make all the chocolate filled chhena balls like this.
  12. Prepare the sugar syrup by adding sugar and water and also add the remaining half of the cardamom powder.
  13. After boiling the syrup add the chhena balls in it.
  14. Cover a lid and allow them to boil in low flame for 10 minutes.
  15. After that they become double in size and switch off the flame.
  16. Allow them in this condition for at least 1 hour.
  17. Then squeeze them and serve them with chilled custard.
  18. Garnish it with splited cashew nuts and some grated chocolate also and enjoy the delicious Choco rasgulla custard.
