Ingredients to make Aam Ka Khatta Meetha Achaar

  • oil 2 tbsp
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • Black mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • cumin 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves 15
  • Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
  • 3 big raw peeled mangoes, cut into cubes
  • Tumeric 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • water 2 tbsp
  • sugar 4 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp

How to make Aam Ka Khatta Meetha Achaar

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
  2. Add a pinch of asafoetida, next put in 1 tsp of black mustard seeds and 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  3. Once it crackles add 15 curry leaves. Next put in 1 tbsp of crushed garlic and stir.
  4. Now add in the cubed mango pieces along with 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 4 tbsp of sugar and 1 tsp of salt.
  5. Stir it for about 2 mins and put in 2 tbsp of water. Cook for 5 more mins till the texture looks saucy.
  6. Dish it out and enjoy!

My Tip:

Don't overcook the mangoes, let it have that crunchy texture.
