ABOUT Soya tit bits RECIPE

This a classic protein full recipe. Soya granules simmered in tomato topped on bread crouton, garnished with cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya granules 50gms
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  3. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  4. Tomato ketchup 1/4cup
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Bay leaf 1
  8. Oil 2tbsp
  9. Water 1/2 cup
  10. Finely chopped Onion 1sml
  11. Oregano 2tsp
  12. large bread slices 4
  13. Grated cheese 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Soak the soya granules for 1/2 hour.
  2. Pressure cook it with water up to two whistles.
  3. Let cool down. In another pan. Heat oil
  4. . Add bay leaf and finely chopped onion.
  5. Cook till it turns pink on slow flame.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2seconds.
  7. Add red chilly powder and further saute for 2seconds.
  8. Add tomato puree. Cook till dry.
  9. Add ketchup, salt and oregano.
  10. Add soya granules. Add cook the mixture till dry.
  11. Cut the bread in 9 square pieces.
  12. Fry them till golden brown.
  13. Arrange the croutons on a serving plate.
  14. Place the dry soya mixture on the square bread croutons.
  15. Garnish it with grated cheese.
