Whole wheat cookies

Ingredients to make Whole wheat cookies

  • wheat flour - 1½ cup
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cups
  • Baking powder 1tsp
  • Vanilla essence 1tsp
  • salt a pinch
  • Milk 1 or 2 tbsp
  • Chopped cashew nuts 1/4 cups
  • For decoration, take little icing sugar, whipped cream, food col

How to make Whole wheat cookies

  1. Add butter (room temperature)to a bowl. To this add sugar, salt, vanilla essence beat well till it becomes fluffy.
  2. In another bowl, add atta, baking powder, salt, cashew nut bits and mix well. Add these dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix well.
  3. Add milk and make a soft and firm dough.w rap it . Keep it in fridge for atleast for 2hrs. Roll the dough into 1/2" thick. Using cookie cutter cut in heart shape.
  4. Take a baking tray, grease it with butter or ghee. Place the cashew cookies on the tray.
  5. Preheat oven at 180 degree celsius for 10 - 12 mins. Place the baking tray in the oven in the middle rack and bake the cookies for 10 - 12 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes check the cookies. If the cookies are not golden brown, then bake for another 2 more minutes. Else, take them out. Allow it to cool.
  7. Cool completely. Then decorate the cookies using the mixture of icing sugar, food col n little whipping cream

My Tip:

All Ingredients should be at room temperature.
