ABOUT Mushroom Nuggets RECIPE

Super tasty Mushroom Nuggets, with texture exactly like Chicken Nuggets.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Oyster mushroom stems - 1 cup
  2. Whole wheat flour - 3 tbsp
  3. Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  4. Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  5. Bread crumbs - 1 cup
  6. Milk - 1/4th cup
  7. Pepper powder - 2 tsp
  8. Mixed herbs seasoning - 2 tsp
  9. salt as per taste
  10. Spring onion chopped - 1/4th cup
  11. Garlic & green chilli paste - 2 tsp
  12. Egg - 1
  13. olive oil - 1 tbsp
  14. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Let's assemble our ingredients first. After washing Mushroom stems cut them in small pieces.
  2. Now in a bowl take all dry ingredients except breadcrumbs. Mix them well.
  3. Now add garlic-chilli paste into the dry ingredient and mix again.
  4. Now gradually add milk little at a time and mix well.
  5. Not add egg and mix well and make a thick batter.
  6. The batter shouldn't be too thick and it shouldn't be too runny.
  7. Into this batter add all the mushroom stems and coat them very well with the batter.
  8. Take one batter coated stem at a time and coat it again in bread crumbs.
  9. Now take oil in a frying pan and when it turns hot fry the stems on medium flame till they turn golden brown.
  10. Mushroom Nuggets are ready and the texture exactly looks like Chicken Nuggets.
  11. You can have them as it is with sauce or any dip.
  12. To make it more tasty, I have further sauted them. Take a pan on medium flame. Take olive oil and saute fresh spring onions in the pan.
  13. Now toss the Nuggets in this with seasoning of salt and pepper. Trust me it tastes yummy.
  14. Yummy mushroom Nuggets are ready serve them hot with chilli sauce or any dip of your choice.
