ABOUT Baajri roti with kakaria fali subji RECIPE

This is a famous dish of North India.Baajra gives warmth during winter because winter is very very cold in north India.lot of ghee with baajri roti and tasty subji of fali and kakaria alongwith lehsun ki chutney and mirchi.lemon juice increase it's taste and generally sugar is used in this vegetable.Actually we make crumble of roti with ghee and add vegetable and lehsun ki chutney and mirchi in it .Then squeeze lemon juice mix all of them then enjoy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg. Kakaria
  2. 1/4 kg fali
  3. 4 tbsp oil
  4. 1 tsp jeera
  5. 1/4 tsp hing
  6. salt as per taste
  7. 2 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 4 tsp coriander powder
  9. 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  10. 2 tsp anchor powder
  11. Sugar as per taste(optional)
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. For roti--
  14. 4 cup baajri la aata
  15. 1 tsp Salt
  16. water for dough

Instructions

  1. Chop both vegetables
  2. Heat oil and add jeera and hing
  3. When spluttering add kakaria and fali
  4. Add 1/2 cup water and cover pan
  5. Let them cook on slow flame
  6. When half cook add all spices
  7. When it leave oil and vegetables cook our subji is ready to serve
  8. We make it rasedaar because we are going to have it with baajri roti
  9. Baajri absorb water very quickly
  10. Now for toti take baajri flour and salt
  11. Add water and make dough
  12. It's roti is little tricky so take wet flour and use your fingers
  13. Don6 use rolling pin
  14. Make roti cook from one side
  15. Then cook other side directly on gas
  16. Apply ghee
  17. Serve hot with subji chutney
