ABOUT Keema Masoor Biryani RECIPE

Keema and Masoor is a good combination together. So i thought to make Biryani with this lovely combination.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Minced mutton 500 gm
  2. Masoor 1 cup
  3. Onion 4 medium thinly slice
  4. Tomato 2 chopped
  5. Basmati rice 500 gm
  6. Yogurt 1 cup
  7. Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
  8. Greem masala paste 3 tbsp
  9. Star anise 2
  10. Bay leaves 3
  11. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  12. Garam masala pdr 1 tsp
  13. Red chilli pdr 2 tbsp
  14. Turmeric pdr 1 tsp
  15. Cumin pdr 1 tsp
  16. Biryani masala 2 tbsp
  17. Oil as required
  18. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. Soak the masoor over night. In the morning boil and strain.
  2. In a pan heat oil and add onion fry till golden brown.
  3. Add whole garam masala and keema, ginger garlic paste, green masala paste, salt and cook well.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook well.
  5. Now add boiled masoor, all the ingredient except rice.
  6. Now boil rice in an another pot. Strain and layer them with keema masoor masala.
  7. Cover it and simmer on very low heat.
  8. Remove from heat and serve with raita.
